Our Stay on the French Riviera

We left New York on Monday, July 11th, and had a very comfortable flight, although our flight left an hour later due to a lot of traffic. We arrived in Nice seven and a half hours later on Tuesday, July 12th about 10:30 a.m. French time. The sun was shining brightly. A taxi met us and drove us to our hotel, Le Grimaldi, a lovely inn with a great restaurant and just 5 guest rooms. The hotel was in Cagnes sur Mer, a medieval village at the very top of Haut de Sur. Our mouths dropped open as the driver went up steep winding roads that were narrow but were still two way “streets.” The view at the top was glorious where we were able to see the towns below and the Alps. We were nicely greeted and our room was most comfortable with and had a beautiful view... For the entire story go to: http://vacationstogether.blogspot.com/2005/08/our-stay-on-french-riviera.html
